We are a home for story and community. Our mission is to create a sanctuary where the love of literature and analog togetherness helps build and grow our community. We offer a curated selection of books in a space that invites you in to explore and spark new connections.
As a woman- and queer-owned business, ampersands is a mission-driven shop. We value all human rights and hold community as the foundation of a strong society. This space will be a haven for those who wish to reignite true connection with their neighbors and value non-digital entertainment.
The focus of ampersands is intersectionality. We believe that no one is just one thing and that we can find more commonalities with each other than differences. We center on social justice and the importance of storytelling and voice to drive movement now and in the future.
where we are
While we don’t have an exact location yet, ampersands will be located in Superior, Colorado and our sense of place is integral to the foundation of our shop. The history of the area and its people will be a part of everything we do, from the photos on the walls to the events we host and more. We will also feature a collection of books written about the area and by local authors.
